This is one of two paintings of the tiny and beautiful birds called Jingee in the local Noongar language. There was always a chorus of these tiny guys in my backyard when I lived in Esperance. They are such pretty and cheerful characters and they move so fast as they travel in flocks. They love feeding on grevillea flowers which I painted for the background. Based on photos taken by my partner Jay while we were camping in Dwellingup a few winters ago.

This painting is 30 x 30 cm on 17 mm thick marine plywood. Painted in oils.

Signed on the back and front.

Ready to hang with wire and 2 x D-ring hanging options fixed to the back. Sides and back have been painted white. Does not include frame shown in room views.

Please note that this work is on recycled marine plywood and the back and edges have a slightly textured/ irregular surface.
