There is something wonderful and magical about birds. I am blessed to live in a place where I am ofren surrounded by the most stunning and character-full birds. In this series titled 'Birds of my Neighbourhood', I have paired them with some of the beautiful native plants that thrive in the South-West of WA.
These red-eared firetails were based on photographs taken by the beautiful wetlands in Esperance called 'Windabout Lakes' where we spent many hours bird watching with my partner Jay. This artwork is a combination of traditional oil painting and digital painting.
